I figured the free mint tin trend from 2021 was dead, then I sold 40 at a flea market in Tulsa
Back in 2021 everyone on craft forums was posting those little painted Altoid tins and I thought it was just a fad that would fade in a couple months, so I never bothered. Last month I was cleaning out my garage and found a box of 60 empty tins I bought on clearance for $9 total, mostly out of boredom. I painted 15 of them with simple flowers and took them to a flea market in Tulsa on a Saturday, priced at $6 each. I sold 40 in four hours and made $240, which is more than I made all of last summer doing bigger wood projects. The booth next to me was selling crocheted plant hangers from that same 2021 wave and she said she still moves about 20 a weekend. So now I'm wondering if I missed other dead trends that never really died, just got quiet. What's a trend you wrote off as over that still brings in money for you?
