Just realized the 'dead' fidget spinner trend never actually died, it just went quiet at the gift shop
Everyone in this group keeps saying fidget spinners were completely gone by 2018, but I was at a Cracker Barrel outside Nashville last weekend and they had a whole rack of them by the register for $4.99. The trend did not die, it just moved from YouTube hype to impulse buys at checkout counters where nobody posts about them. The hype cycle only tracks what's loud online, so when something goes quiet it can still be selling steady. Has anyone else seen a "dead" trend still quietly moving units at a store like that?
