Spent $120 on a cheap ring light kit for a video that got 40 views
Last spring I bought a $120 ring light setup because some video guy swore it was the trick for going viral. I set it up in my spare room, filmed 12 videos over two months, and the biggest one hit 40 views. The light is now holding up a shelf in my closet and I can't even sell it on marketplace for $25. I fell for the idea that gear was the missing piece when nobody was watching in the first place. Did anyone else buy gear for a trend that faded before the return window closed?
