The sign at my local gallery in Dayton flipped my whole view on AI art
Stopped into a small gallery on Third Street in Dayton last weekend and the owner had a little handwritten sign by the door saying they don't show any AI made work, which I used to think was just gatekeeping. Then I watched her pull out a folder of 30 rejected submissions, half of them AI, and explain how she couldn't tell which local artists did the work by hand anymore. How are small galleries supposed to sort that out without just banning it all?
