Found my old torque wrench log from 2009 and the handwriting alone took me back
Cleaning out a toolbox drawer in the hangar in Tulsa this week, I pulled out my paper torque log from when I worked the regional jets and every entry had a little note like the temp or who signed off with me. Now it's all on a tablet and I get it, but flipping through those pages made me miss writing down the actual numbers by hand. Any of you still keep a paper trail for your own records, or has everyone gone fully digital at this point?

Kept a small spiral notebook in my box for years for the same reason. Every sign off had the shift and the tail number scribbled next to it, and when something got questioned six months later I could flip right to it instead of digging through a tablet. What worked for me was keeping both, paper for the daily stuff and digital for anything that had to get turned in official, since the paper was just for me anyway. When my log got full I'd snap pics of each page and toss the book, so I still have the notes without the clutter piling up. The photos lose the feel of the handwriting though, which is the part I actually miss. Sounds dumb but the smudges and crossed out numbers tell a story a clean PDF never will.
