Caught a $900 panel swap that cut our false alarm callbacks from 6 a month to 1
We used to get 5 or 6 false alarm callbacks a month on a 40 unit complex in Bakersfield, mostly pets and heat triggers on the old sensors, and the property manager was ready to drop us. After we swapped in dual tech motion sensors and sealed up two doors where gaps let in warm air, callbacks fell to 1 in the last 90 days, and the tenants stopped complaining too. Is anyone else seeing that kind of drop from sensor placement alone, or did you have to change how you walk the site first?
Funny how it's never the fancy fix that does it, just a gap by a door letting warm air in and confusing a sensor. Half the problems in life turn out to be the boring stuff nobody wanted to look at first.
