Dropped $340 on a course that promised to teach me how to game the TikTok algorithm
I paid $340 for an online course called something like 'Viral Blueprint 2024' back in March, mostly because the guy's own videos kept showing up on my feed and I figured he must know what he was doing. Turns out his whole method was telling people to post at 7pm EST and use three specific sounds, which is stuff you can find for free in any creator forum. I looked at my notes last week and realized I had 40 pages of screenshots of his own analytics, which don't help anyone but him. The wild part is the algorithm he described kept changing every two months, so the course was already outdated by the time I finished it, and he was selling a $99 monthly update plan on top of that. I'm not saying all paid courses are junk, but watching a guy's face on my for you page is not proof that his method works for anyone else. Has anyone here actually found a free resource that explains how the ranking signals shift over time, or is that just something we're all guessing at?
