Spent 5 hours on a 30 foot oak removal because of one stupid leaning limb
Had a removal last Tuesday in Salem on a 30 foot oak that should have taken me 3 hours tops. Everything was going fine until I hit a limb that was leaning way harder than it looked from the ground, so I had to keep repositioning my rigging to keep it from swinging into the fence. What should have been a quick drop turned into 5 hours of me fighting angles and resetting ropes because I skipped checking the lean from the other side of the yard first. Now I walk the full circle around every tree before I even pull the saw out, no matter how simple the job looks. Anybody else get humbled by a tree that looked way easier from the driveway?
