Unpopular opinion: Hiring a realtor to sell my house was a waste of $15k

I listed my bungalow in East Atlanta on Facebook Marketplace for two days and got three offers, then sold it myself through a flat fee service for $500. Why are we still paying 6% when tools like SignNow and Zillow do all the heavy lifting? Has anyone else cut out the middleman and regretted it?

Yeah I tried the no realtor route back in 2019 with a duplex I owned, thought I was being smart. Ended up having a buyer back out at the last second over some stupid inspection thing and had to re-list three times before I found someone serious. Saved the commission but lost it all in stress and extra time carrying the mortgage.

Wait, is that 6% still standard? I thought most places are down to like 5% or even 4% these days, with people negotiating. Idk, maybe it's just my area but I feel like that number might be a little high.
