My pump died at 2am and I woke up to a drained pond and nine gasping koi
The seal on my 1200 GPH pump blew out last Thursday, and by morning the water was down about 8 inches with half my fish flopping in the shallows. I ended up floating them in a plastic tub with an air stone while I ran to the store for a replacement, but I'm now convinced a cheap backup pump is a must. Anyone else keep a spare on the shelf, or am I just being paranoid after one bad night?
