Question about those cheap plastic storage totes from Walmart that I swore would fall apart

Last summer I needed somewhere to put 30 pounds of pool chemicals and some old paint cans in my shed in Tucson. I laughed at my neighbor when she showed me her $8 Sterilite totes and said she had used them for 4 monsoon seasons. I finally bought 6 of them in June because I was out of space and figured I would just replace them when they cracked. It is now almost November, the lids still snap on tight, and none of them have warped or split even with the heat hitting 108 outside. Has anyone else had these actually hold up, or did I just get lucky with this batch?
