Counting tiles at the hardware store led to my own refund
I used to trust the square footage calculator on my phone, but last month in Des Moines it told me I needed 47 tiles for a 10 by 9 foot kitchen, which was way over by about 5. The clerk at the register used graph paper and counted out a diagram right in front of me, and I got a $38 refund after I redid the math with a simple pencil. Anyone else figure out the old school way beats the app, or is it just me?
