Someone on my feed shared a thread last week claiming eggs cause heart disease, and the whole thing traced back to a group funded by a cereal company. So what's the move here, should we just assume every health hot take has a hidden money trail, or is that too cynical? Curious how you all decide what's worth debunking vs just scrolling past.
Who actually funded the study though? Like was it a trade group or an actual named company, because those are two very different levels of sketchy. And how do you even find that out without a science degree, do you just dig through the conflicts of interest section at the bottom of the paper.
