Vent: My uncle's 90 minute rant about TikTok made me rethink how I argue online

Had dinner with my uncle last Saturday in Columbus and he went off on how TikTok is ruining attention spans and society in general. He kept quoting some random guy's video as proof, but when I asked if he'd actually seen the original, he admitted he only watched the repost with 12k likes. That got me thinking about how many bad takes I share out of anger without checking context first. I've definitely been that guy in comment threads, dropping hot takes based on a screenshot someone cropped. It hit different because he's usually the one I roll my eyes at, but this time he had a point about my own habit. Anybody else catch themselves doing this and then feel dumb about it later?
