Straight razors vs shavettes for skin fades, my 6 month test

Been cutting skin fades on the regular for a while now and always used a straight razor for the outline. Swapped to a shavette for 6 months straight to see if it was worth the switch. Honestly the shavette is way more consistent, no stropping mid-cut and I never nick the hairline like I used to with a real blade. Downside is disposables add up, like $40 a month if I'm busy, but the time saved on cleanup makes it worth it for me. Anyone else make the jump and stick with it or go back to the classic?
