Took me 3 weeks to figure out why my clippers kept dying mid fade

I run two Wahl Seniors and for about 3 weeks one of them kept cutting out halfway through a skin fade, right at the worst spot on a kid's head. I swapped cords, cleaned the blade, opened the housing twice, and even bought a new battery pack before I realized the little screw holding the blade lever was backing out just enough to lose contact when the motor got warm. Anyone else had a stubborn issue like that eat up way more shop time than it should have?
