My landlord's lease addendum went from 4 pages to 1 and I think I found the trick
When I asked why the new version cut the late fee language down to one line, he said his lawyer told him that shorter clauses get challenged less in small claims court here in Ohio, so has anyone else seen a landlord trim a contract on purpose like that?
