Saw a 1970s pink bathroom go from cave to bright in 3 weeks, and it was one thing that did it
My neighbor in Cleveland had that classic pink tile bathroom with a single dim bulb over the mirror and it always felt like a dungeon. He swapped the old vanity light for a 3-bulb fixture at 60 watts a piece and painted the walls a warm white, and the pink tile went from feeling dated to actually looking good. Whole thing cost him about $90 and a Saturday afternoon. The light was the big one though, not the paint. Anyone else surprised how much a plain old light swap changes a tile color you hated for years?
