Showerthought: I started skipping the 'previously on' recaps and it changed my whole binge

I was trying to get through the first season of 'The Bear' last weekend and felt like I was wasting time on the long recap before each episode. I started hitting the 'skip intro' button on Hulu, which also skipped the recap, and suddenly I was finishing episodes way faster. Does anyone else skip those parts to keep the momentum going?

Honestly it's just a recap, not that deep.

Watched my friend try to get through the last season of Stranger Things. He got so annoyed with the long "previously on" bits that he started skipping them entirely. He said it made the weird jumps in the story feel more intense and surprising, like he was actually figuring things out live. Honestly, he got so into it he finished the whole season in one weekend. It kind of convinced me to try skipping recaps too, just to see what happens.

See, the "figuring things out live" part is what gets me... I tried skipping recaps on a show once and just felt totally lost. Those little reminders actually help me settle back into the world, you know? It's like a warm-up before the main event. I'd rather have that than feel confused for ten minutes trying to remember who a side character is.
