Warning: clamped my third text block too tight and cracked the spine board on a customer's Bible
I was in my basement shop on Tuesday rushing to finish a rebind for a lady in Tulsa, and heard the crack right as the glue was setting. Had to carefully pry it apart, steam the old paste off with a kettle, and redo the whole thing with a looser press, which cost me about 4 hours but saved the job. Has anyone else cracked a board and found a way to hide it instead of full redo?
