My buddy told me to just toss the wobbly patio chair, but I fixed it with a $3 bolt in 20 minutes

Last Saturday my buddy saw my patio chair wobbling and said "just toss it, it's dead." I popped off the plastic cap at the joint and saw the bolt was stripped, not the frame, so I grabbed a $3 bolt from Ace Hardware on Elm and had it solid in 20 minutes. People act like any wobble means the whole thing is junk, but half of this stuff is just one cheap part failing. The frame is aluminum and fine, it's the hardware that gives out. Now I'm looking at my other chairs the same way, has anyone else had luck just swapping the bolts on cheap furniture?
