Update: Bought a $12 tube of Flex Seal for my leaking cooler lid, still dry after 5 months of tailgating
I grabbed a cheap 48 quart cooler at a garage sale in Madison for $15 and the lid seal started leaking cold air within a month, so I was about to trash it. Saw a guy at a Packers tailgate in Green Bay slather Flex Seal paste along his cooler rim and figured it was a gimmick, but I did the same and it held through 5 months of summer tailgates and road trips. Anyone else find a cheap fix that outlasted the thing it was supposed to save?

Well dang, sounds like that $12 tube outlived the $15 cooler's dignity.
