Serious question, why does everybody think the ice bucket thing was about actual buckets?
So my cousin showed me a clip from that frozen water challenge trend and she was totally confused about why people were dumping ice on their heads, thinking it was some weird bucket collecting hobby. I had to explain it was for a charity back in 2014 and she had no clue, she thought it started on TikTok last year. This matters because half the people laughing at these old trends weren't even around when they happened, so they get the whole point wrong. I know because I was in high school when it blew up and everyone's feed was soaked for like 3 months straight. What old trend did somebody recently explain to you completely wrong?
