That "watch this before scrolling" tactic finally backfired on my feed

My buddy Jake from work kept telling me to skip any video that starts with a countdown or a red arrow, said it's pure bait. I ignored him for like 2 months, but last week I timed it: 14 out of 20 videos I clicked had zero payoff, just looping nonsense. He was totally right, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has a simple rule to filter out the worst of it without watching the whole thing.
