Spent 9 hours on a lease clause that a paralegal fixed in 15 minutes

Last week I sat in my office in Boise rewriting a personal guarantee clause over and over, trying to cover every way a tenant could get out of it. My office manager finally walked it down to a paralegal who crossed out two lines, wrote "joint and several" in the margin, and sent it back before lunch. What's the dumbest thing you've burned a whole workday on that someone else solved in one look?
