Spent 5 hours returning a $29 lamp because I shredded the receipt like a genius
Bought a floor lamp from a store in Boise 3 days ago, got home, and the switch was dead on arrival. I had already tossed the receipt in my shredder because I figured a store card purchase would be in their system. Turns out they couldn't find it since I paid cash, so I dug through 2 trash bags looking for the box with the barcode. Finally got the refund after 5 hours of driving back and forth, but now I'm wondering if I should just start photographing every receipt. Does anyone have a system that actually works for this, or do you all just keep a shoebox like my dad?
