PSA: I stopped using caulk for scribe joints, switched to epoxy fillers
Back in 2018 I was doing a kitchen in Des Moines and the homeowner kept pointing at every tiny gap where the upper cabinets met the wall. I used to slather on painter's caulk and call it good, but it always shrank after a few months and looked like crap. Now I mix up a two part epoxy filler, color matched with the finish, and pack it in with a syringe. It dries hard, sands flat, and I haven't had a callback complaint about scribe joints since. Has anyone else ditched caulk for something more permanent on tricky wall gaps?

Wait, you really think caulk is the answer for a scribe joint that's gonna crack and look terrible the second the house shifts?
Shane's got a point about flexing, but epoxy holds up way better than caulk in my experience. Caulk shrinks and picks up dirt, and you're back there in six months fixing it. Epoxy might be hard, but I've seen it last years without a single complaint. The key is filling it right the first time instead of slapping on a band-aid.
