Switched to soft-close hinges after a job in Nashville went sideways

I used to think soft-close was just a fancy upsell. Then last month I was installing a full kitchen for a client in Nashville, 24 cabinets, and the homeowner walked in while I was testing the doors. One slammed hard because I had the tension set wrong and it cracked a brand new panel. He didn't yell but he gave me this look and said 'my kid naps ten feet from this pantry, you gotta fix that.' I spent the next hour swapping all the hinges to soft close with the adjustment tool dialed in. Now I won't put standard hinges in anything I build. Anyone else had a job where a client's comment made you change your whole hardware setup?
