Rant: the guy who brought me a Leica in a ziplock bag of loose screws and one AA battery
3 years ago a fella walked into my shop in Tucson with a Leica M3 in a ziplock bag, and yes, loose screws rattling around with a single AA battery that had no business being in there. He said his uncle took it apart in 1974 to 'clean the inside' and then just left it in a shed, and I quote, 'it should be easy to put back.' I spent 11 hours on that thing and I'm still finding screws in the wrong holes, so how do you all tell a customer their heirloom is basically a box of spare parts without making them cry?
