Took me 4 trips to figure out my tent was leaking from the guyline, not the seams
Kept waking up soaked in the Ozarks last month and blamed the rainfly seams, so I resealed them twice with Gear Aid and even bought a new footprint. Turned out the leak was water wicking down my guyline and dripping onto the inner wall right at the corner, and I only caught it after sitting inside during a storm at 2am with a headlamp. I fixed it with a $6 set of line tensioners and a drip loop, but it cost me 3 weekend trips. Anyone else get fooled by wicking before?
