A commenter said I was wrong about Shane Dawson, and after 3 weeks of watching his old stuff I think they had a point
I used to be one of those people who said Shane Dawson should stay gone forever. Then about a month ago I posted in a thread here saying he should never come back, and this one user replied with a long comment asking if I had watched any of his recent videos or if I was just going off the 2020 apology. I got kinda annoyed at first but then I went and watched a few things and read up on what he has been doing since. I still think some of the old stuff was messed up, but the guy clearly stepped back, lost a ton of money, and has been pretty quiet for a while now. I changed my mind on the idea that nobody deserves a second shot, because watching his newer stuff, he seems like a different person. Now I am not saying I want him on a big platform again, but the whole forever canceled thing feels wrong to me. Where do you all land on this, is there a time limit or is it just case by case?
