A guy at a coffee shop in Denver told me my 'comeback watch' posts were just free ads, and he was right
I used to jump on any brand that said sorry and post stuff like 'see, they're back, give them another shot' without checking if anything really changed. A guy at a coffee shop in Denver saw my laptop screen and said straight to my face, 'You're just doing their PR for free.' So now I wait at least 6 months after any apology and look for real proof, like money they put toward fixing the problem or new people actually running things. If all I find is a sad video and a new ad campaign, I skip it, simple as that. How long do you all wait before you count a comeback as real, or do you just go with your gut?
