Just realized the average job posting gets 250 applicants and I've been treating each one like a coin flip
I was reading a hiring report from a recruiter I know in Columbus and she said her last entry level opening pulled 250 resumes in 4 days. Four days. I've sent out 60 applications since March and I keep telling myself it's a numbers game, but those odds are terrible. She also said about 40 of those 250 got read by a human, the rest got filtered by software before anyone saw them. So I spent a whole weekend rewriting my resume for a job I probably never had a shot at. How are you all getting past the filters? I need something better than just praying and hitting submit.
