Old timer told me to skip the tack strip stretcher, he was flat wrong
Bob from the supply house in Cleveland swore I could save $200 by using a knee kicker on a 12x14 hallway, so I tried it on a job last week. That seam rippled like crazy and I spent two extra hours fixing it with a power stretcher I borrowed from a neighbor. Anyone else run into advice from veteran guys that sounds good but makes the install worse?

You ever trust a guy's advice and immediately regret every life choice that led to that moment? I once took a shortcut on a backsplash and spent the whole weekend eating cold pizza over a pile of grout.
