Showerthought: the day I glued my knee to a $4,000 wool runner
Last Tuesday I was stretching a wool runner in a house up in Ridgewood and I took a knee right into a fresh bead of seam sealer. Stood up and the whole 12 foot runner came with me like a cape. The homeowner walked in, looked at me, and asked if that was part of the install. Took me 20 minutes with a putty knife and mineral spirits to get loose, and I still had to re-seal the seam. Then I found out the lady had just had the floors refinished, so I spent the rest of the day tiptoeing around like a cat burglar. Worst part is I had a knee pad sitting in the truck the entire time. Any of you got a dumb mistake that still bugs you years later?
