Showerthought: That 'leaked' text from a celeb's PR team is probably just a planted story

I was scrolling last night at 2am and saw this 'exclusive' about a singer fighting with her label. Then i saw the exact same wording in a press release three hours later. Anyone else notice how often these 'sources say' stories are just copy pasted from official statements?

Man that's exactly the kind of stuff I keep seeing. Last month there was this whole drama about a YouTuber and some leaked DMs, turns out the screenshots were literally from a podcast transcript that came out a week before. Same font and everything. These PR teams are getting lazy with their fake leaks.

Is it really THAT big of a deal though? Like yeah these stories are probably planted but who actually cares that much about celeb drama anyway.

Props to the PR teams for even bothering though. Why spend money planting stories when most people just scroll past them anyway. Maybe the real drama is how little any of this actually matters in the grand scheme of things.
