The week I actually checked celeb breakup tips against court records and 4 out of 5 were total junk
So two weeks ago I fell down a rabbit hole after seeing a bunch of TikToks about a certain pop star's split that was all over my feed, and I decided to test a trick I came up with. Instead of just trusting what the gossip accounts posted, I spent about six hours over three days pulling actual court filings, property records in LA County, and the real Instagram post timestamps. What I found was wild: four of the five biggest claims being pushed around (secret marriage, a fight at some hotel, a hidden baby, and a missing ring) had zero paper trail, and one of them was just a fan account reposting an old photo from 2019 with a new caption. The only thing that held up was the date a joint business LLC got dissolved, which showed up in state records on a Tuesday morning, and that matched a blind item posted 11 days later. I screenshotted everything into a folder and now I do this check first before I believe anything, and it takes me maybe 20 minutes per rumor. The trick is to search the person's full legal name plus the county clerk site, not their stage name, because that is where people slip up. Has anyone else tried pulling real records on a celeb rumor, and did it change what you believe?
