Cook County let me file my small claims case online instead of taking a day off work
I was about to lose a full shift to go file a $1,200 case against my old landlord downtown, then found out Cook County has an e-filing portal you can use from your couch. Took me 20 minutes and it only cost $89 to file, but I got the date wrong on the first try so double check the summons section. Anyone else file through it and know how long it takes to get a court date back?
