My cousin showed me a thumbnail of a 'shark' in a lake near Austin, and I froze up when I tried to say something
She pulled it up on her phone at a cookout in Round Rock on Saturday and half the table actually believed it was real. I said it was fake but could not explain why fast enough, so my uncle started arguing with me instead. I went home and found the original clip, it is a nurse shark filmed in the Bahamas, and the uploader just slapped a Texas lake name on it. Now I have a screenshot of the side by side saved and I want a better way to explain this stuff on the spot. What is your go to move when a fake thumbnail comes up at a family thing and everyone is already on the hook?
