For about 8 years I threw out every onion skin and coffee ground without a second thought, just tied up the bag and moved on. Then a guy at the community garden in Boise showed me his setup last spring and I started saving scraps in a $4 bucket that lives next to my fridge. Now I've got 3 bins going in the backyard and my tomato plants are twice the size, but does anyone else deal with the fruit flies or am I doing something wrong?
