Showerthought: my uncle in Tucson said "the desert always comes back" and it made me rethink my whole yard
My uncle has been in Tucson for over 30 years and last month he told me to stop fighting the dry spell and just let the native stuff take over. He said he pulled out 800 square feet of grass around 2015 and his water bill dropped by nearly half, which honestly surprised me since I always figured a green lawn was just how it's done. Has anyone else switched to desert plants and found the upkeep way easier than they expected?
