Wrote off G10 as a gimmick for 6 yrs, then a 2am taper job on a Mazak in Fort Worth humbled me
Used to do every tool offset by hand because I thought G10 was just for guys who could not crank a handle, and I'd been burned by a fat-fingered edit once back in 2019. Last month I had 14 parts to taper and my math was off by .004 on the first two until I started loading offsets through G10 with a small macro at the top of the program, and every part after that came out dead on with a 6 minute cycle. Anyone else using G10 for tool changes or just for work offsets, and got a macro you actually trust?
