Spent $180 on a bootcamp course that taught me nothing I couldn't find free
I signed up for a 6 week online coding bootcamp in March because I thought paying would force me to stay on track. The instructor just read slides from a paid framework's docs and never answered questions in the chat. Meanwhile, I was already following a free YouTube series for Python that explained loops better in one 20 minute video. Total waste of $180 and about 12 evenings of my time, I regret it hard. Did anyone else burn cash on a beginner course that was basically just a paid reading group? What free or cheap resources actually worked for you instead?
