Last Wednesday a guy came into my local shop and traded an entire long box of 90s Image comics for store credit.
He told me he was just tired of hauling them around and I flipped through and found a near mint copy of Spawn #1 and a Savage Dragon #1 that paid for my whole grocery trip that week, have any of you ever gotten a surprise score like that from someone just unloading their old collection?

Jump in there before someone else snags it. I swear, half these guys clearing out their old collections don't realize what they're sitting on. Had a buddy of mine find a first print Walking Dead in a box of old video game magazines someone was tossing. People just get sick of storing stuff and want it gone, they don't bother checking values. It's like garage sale logic applied to comic books.

Right? It's wild how much good stuff just gets tossed out there. @jason_stone59, your buddy is living the dream with that Walking Dead find. Honestly wish I had that kind of luck, but at least these posts give us a heads up before it's too late. Feels like everyone should just take a quick look online before they clear stuff out, you know? Saves a lot of treasure from the dump.

Omg i literally had the same thing happen last month. My neighbor was tossing out a whole box of old comics from the 90s and I snagged a near mint copy of Spider-Man #1 for like nothing. Its crazy how people dont even google stuff before they throw it away.
