Why does nobody talk about how most site plans get stamped with the wrong scale after a PDF round trip?
I've been watching this play out for a bit now. Two sides to it: one crew says just trust the title block scale, the architect stamped it so it's right. The other says measure the printed line every single time because a PDF can resize the drawing without touching the stamp. I'm on the second side. Saw a crew north of Austin frame a wall 6 inches off last month because the sheet said 1/4 inch equals a foot but printed at 1/8. Took a scale ruler and the math didn't lie. What's your rule, do you re-scale off a known dimension or take the stamp at its word?
