Showerthought: one client's hair stopped breaking after I moved her color appointment, and the timing math surprised me
Had a client named Deb back in March who was coming in every 4 weeks for a root touch up and her ends were just fried, snapping off in my comb. We pushed her out to 7 weeks between visits and I started doing a light bond treatment on the mid lengths each time she came in. Took about 3 months and by June her hair pulled smooth through the comb with barely any breakage, and her color still looked good because we stopped overlapping the old color. I think the constant re-processing was the real culprit more than any product. Curious if others have found a sweet spot on stretch-out timing or if 7 weeks is pushing it for some hair types?
