PSA: My credit score went up 31 points from a utility I never knew existed

Found out last week that my old apartment in Austin had a $46 water bill sitting in collections for 2 years because the lease had my name misspelled, and the landlord never forwarded the final statement. I only caught it when a lender flagged the account during a pre-approval pull, has anyone else had a mystery utility account sneak up on them like this?
