Warning: picking a rent-to-own place over a credit repair program cost my cousin $3,200
My cousin in Cleveland had to choose between a 12 month rent-to-own lease on a duplex or paying a credit repair service $75 a month to fix her 540 score, and she went with the lease because it felt like a real house, but 8 months in the landlord sold the place and she lost her deposit plus the extra $400 a month premium, so has anyone here seen rent-to-own work out for someone with bad credit?
