Realized my password manager was a lie after 4 years
I thought I was the security guru because I used a password manager. Then last month I saw my master password sitting in a draft email on my phone. I don't even remember typing it there, probably from 2022. If my phone got nabbed at a coffee shop near downtown Portland, someone would've had every single account of mine. Has anyone else caught themselves storing secrets in the dumbest places?

Draft email? That's wild. I've done some dumb stuff with passwords but that's a whole other level, like your phone was just sitting there with the keys to your whole life in a half-typed note, probably with "hey don't forget" or something. I once wrote my bank PIN on a sticky note and taped it to the back of my debit card, but that was like 15 years ago and I was a teenager. This is way more recent, and it's scary how easy it is to autopilot into a draft box and never look back. My hands would be shaking deleting that thing, and I'd probably still be paranoid for like a month. Hopefully you cleared it out before anything weird happened.
