My brother sent me a viral video of a 'street magician' pulling a phone from a stranger's ear and I believed it for a whole afternoon. Then I paused it on frame 227 and the same guy with the same blue backpack walks past in the background twice. Anyone else ever get roasted for missing an obvious editing error in a trending clip that everyone else spotted right away?

Frame 227 is pretty specific, so I gotta ask how many times you rewatched it before you caught that. Honestly, that blue backpack detail sounds like the kind of thing you only notice if you're looking for a mistake. Plenty of magicians use repeat background extras on purpose to mess with people's heads, it's a classic misdirection trick. I've seen clips where the loop is so tight that the "error" is actually the whole point, like the guy who waves at himself in the background. So maybe you didn't miss anything, maybe the editor just outsmarted you for a few minutes. That's not a roast, that's just good editing.
